In this wide-ranging conversation with game designer and theorist Keith Burgun, I discuss my work on consensual play, including how games can create spaces for players to explore boundaries, preferences, relationships, and different ways of engaging with play. We also talk about my thoughts on GamerGate, Gamergate 2.0, game studies, my creative practice, Memoirscape, and my longstanding love of Final Fantasy.

The conversation brings together several threads of my work as a game scholar, designer, and writer, particularly my interest in how games can help us think through relationships, agency, and the ways we play with one another.
